Q: It's my first tattoo, or my first time at the shop.. what should I do first?
A: No worries, please click here for the whole process on picking your artist to finally setting up an appointment! Q: Do I need an ID to get a tattoo or piercing?
A: Yes, you will need a valid ID such as driver's license or passport. Q: Do I need to sign any form before getting a tattoo or piercing?
A: Yes, you will need to sign the release form (provided at the shop) BEFORE any tattoo or piercing. Q: I am underage, can I bring my parent to sign to get tattoo?
A: No. Under California law, we are not permitted to tattoo anybody under the age of 18 Q: What do I need to prepare before my tattoo appointment?
A: Please bring a valid ID. It will be mandatory to have at least a light meal or snack four hours before your appointment and may not be under influence of alcohol or drug. Working out on the day or day before is not recommended for there may be an increase in the pain level. A good night sleep the day before your appointment is also recommended. Q: How do I take care of my tattoo?
A: When you get a tattoo at My Tattoo, we offer a saniderm treatment which is best fit and convenient for taking care of tattoo. This treatment fee will be added onto the price of the tattoo. The artist will explain in details for how to take care of your tattoo using the saniderm. If not using the saniderm please refer to our aftercare section for throughout procedure or please contact your artist. Q: Can I work out after I get a tattoo?
A: Working out after getting your tattoo is not recommended. Please refer to our tattoo aftercare section for more details Q: Can i bring my underage children? They can behave in the waiting area. How about pets?
A: For safety reason, no. Please understand, we are dealing with needles, and blood. Children has a lower immune system which may cause sickness. Also there are images in the shop which is not suitable for children of under age. Definitely no pets and this will be for the safety of the clients whose getting a tattoo or piercing. Animals and their furs can carry many bacteria which can cause infections. Q: Do you do temporary tattoos
A: No, we do not. All real permanent tattoos |
Q: I am underage, can I bring my parent to sign to get a piercing?
A: Yes (if they are over 12 years of age), to ears and other parts of the body EXCEPT genital and nipples. He/she may get the piercing with a parental consent and their presence in the room while the piercing procedure is conducted. Q: What are the pricing for a tattoo?
A: Different artist have different pricing so it is recommended to choose your artist first whose work best fits what you are looking for. Then please contact that artist and ask for the pricing and to set up a consultation. Q: How do I take care of my piercing?
A: Please refer to out piercing aftercare section for throughout procedure. Or please call us at our shop and ask the piercer. Q: Are you open on holidays?
A: Some holidays we are open and some holidays we are closed. Please contact us first to check for upcoming holidays. Q: Do I need to bring in my design for the tattoo i like to get?
A: You can bring in a design for a reference but there is a chance the artist will like to redesgin to make it look better. If you do not have a design but only ideas you can consult with an artist so that artist can transfer your idea into a drawing! For an artist to start on a drawing for you, you must pay a deposit fee (fee varies) and set up an appointment first. Q: How long does the piercing takes to heal?
A: It depends on which part of the body. Please refer to our piercing aftercare section for more details. Q: Do you use brand new needles?
A: Yes. For both tattoo and piercing, we use single-use sterilized needles. Tattooing tools such as tubes are sterilzed in ultrasonic, and autoclave. The working station is cleaned with madacide after every tattoo or piercing is finished. Q: Do I need to make appointments to get a piercing?

A: No, we do not do provide tattoo removal service in our shop, but we can refer you to one. Please call in the shop |
Q: Do I need to make an appointment for tattoo?
A: At the moment it is only by appointment. please go to CONTACT and send an inquiry to the artist of your choice. Q: Can I make appointment over the phone?
A: No. Please contact your artist of your choice through our inquiry, then the artist will contact you back to set up an appointment. Q: How much is the deposit for tattoo?
A: It varies with different artists. Please contact the artist of your choice. Q: What is the jewelry material that you carry?
A: All our jewelry is surgical steel and for microdermal jewelry, it’s titanium. Q: Do you use numbing cream? Or can I bring my own numbing cream for the tattoo?
A: We do carry H2Ocean Nothing which minimizes the pain but any other different brand you bring is not recommended. We are not reliable for any side effect it may cause. Q: Do you use piercing gun for the piercings?
A: No. We only use single use sterlized needles. Using needles will be more sterile since the piercing gun can NOT be sanitized. By using a needle, it will create less trauma to the skin and cuts a perfect circle versus the puncture wounds created by the piercing gun. Q: Does it hurt?
A: Yes, but everyone have a different pain tolerance so it really depends on how much it hurts. Different parts of the body tends to be more sensitive than other areas such as ribs, elbow, knee, wrist, spine, and back of the knee. Q: Do all the artists in the shop have their Blood Borne Pathogen Test certification and registration?
A: Yes, and they are displayed at their station at the shop. If you'd like to confirm, please ask the artist at the shop. Q: Do you need to be Vaccinated?
A: Yes, at the moment, our shop policy requires anybody entering the shop will have to be vaccinated and bring proof Q: What are your business hours, where are you located?
