Jess Yen, also known as Horiyen, is a renowned tattoo artist hailing from Taipei, Taiwan. With a career spanning over three decades, Jess has established himself as a master in the art of tattooing. Beginning as a Tebori artist in 1992, he has since expanded his repertoire to include the use of electrical tattoo machines. Specializing in Oriental Realism, Jess’s unique style blends traditional Asian art with elements of realism and materialism. His expertise lies in creating captivating Oriental body suits and realistic portraits in both color and black & grey. Drawing inspiration from his Japanese and Chinese heritage, Jess infuses his designs with cultural symbolism and storytelling. Throughout his career, Jess Yen has received numerous accolades and recognition at national and international tattoo conventions. His exceptional skill and artistic vision have earned him a dedicated following of clients from all over the world. As a teacher and mentor, Jess imparts his wisdom and values to his students, emphasizing the importance of a positive mindset, continuous improvement, and a deep appreciation for their clients. Born and raised in Taiwan, Jess made the leap to the United States in 1998 and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
