About Horishin:
Kashu Horishin, originally from Japan and having spent his formative years in Taiwan, possesses a captivating multicultural background that permeates every facet of his life and artistry. From an early age, Horishin immersed himself in the world of art, and upon moving to the United States, he pursued his passion by attending the esteemed Art Institute of Santa Monica. It was during a pivotal moment of self-discovery that he found solace and guidance in the mentorship of the renowned master Jess Yen (Horiyen), who steered him towards a transformative path. Since 2006, Kashu Horishin has solidified his position as an accomplished tattoo artist, having persevered through arduous training and probationary periods that tested his mettle. His unwavering dedication and skill have earned him recognition as a Second-Generation artist within the esteemed Horiyen Ichimon, and he proudly bears the sacred Horiyen Family emblem, symbolizing his artistic legacy. Beyond his expertise in tattoo artistry, Horishin boasts over a decade of experience in ceramics. Moreover, he extends his artistic prowess as a co-owner of My Tattoo, where he showcases his versatility as a webmaster, photographer, translator, and graphic designer. Horishin embodies the essence of traditional Japanese culture, embodying qualities such as attentiveness, meticulousness, courtesy, and respect. While Horishin possesses versatility across various artistic genres, his primary focus lies in creating custom Japanese-themed tattoos. Leveraging his profound knowledge of ancient Japanese art and merging it with contemporary elements such as manga-style illustrations, he brings a unique perspective to his craft.
