FAQ
Find answers to common questions about our piercings, aftercare, and what to expect during your visit.
General Questions
1. What kinds of piercings do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of ear, oral, facial, and body piercings. Please call the shop to inquire about our current selection.
2. Do I need to make an appointment, or do you take walk-ins?
Same-day appointments can be made by calling to check availability. Walk-ins are welcome only if there are no scheduled appointments at that time.
3. How much does a piercing cost?
Pricing depends on the specific piercing you’re interested in. All initial piercing prices include the cost of jewelry.
4. Do I need to bring an ID? What are the age requirements?
Yes. A valid ID is required for all paperwork. Minors aged 12–17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a valid ID. Legal guardians must also provide documentation proving guardianship. Minors are not eligible for nipple or genital piercings.
5. Can I get multiple piercings in one session?
Yes. Multiple piercings can be done during one session, depending on the locations and at the piercer’s discretion.
Safety & Procedure
6. Is it safe? What precautions do you take?
Our piercing room is thoroughly disinfected between clients, and all equipment is sterilized in-shop to ensure a safe and clean experience.
7. Do you use a piercing gun or a needle?
We only use piercing needles. Needles provide clean, precise punctures and result in faster healing with less trauma compared to piercing guns.
8. Are your piercers certified?
Yes. All of our piercers are bloodborne pathogen certified and registered with the local health department.
9. Is the jewelry sterile and high quality?
Yes. All jewelry used for piercings is brand new, sterilized, and made of high-quality materials like surgical-grade steel or titanium.
10. Can I bring my own jewelry to be pierced with?
You’re welcome to bring your own jewelry, but it must be approved by the piercer. If it’s not suitable for the initial piercing, you can choose from our in-house selection.
11. Does it hurt?
Pain levels vary from person to person and depend on the piercing location. Some sensitivity is normal. The procedure is quick, and our piercers will offer guidance to help manage any discomfort during the healing process.
12. Do you offer numbing or anesthesia?
No. We do not provide numbing agents or anesthesia for piercings.
Healing & Aftercare
13. How long does it take to heal?
Healing times vary depending on the piercing location and your individual body. Proper aftercare can speed up healing, while neglect or irritation can delay it.
14. What aftercare should I follow?
We recommend using H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray or a sterile saline wound wash. Spray the area 2–3 times a day, let it dry, and repeat as needed.
15. Can I swim or exercise after getting pierced?
We recommend avoiding swimming for 1–2 months. Exercise is generally fine, as long as it doesn’t irritate the piercing and you clean the area afterward.
16. What should I do if I think my piercing is infected?
Signs of infection include pus, swelling, tenderness, or itching. If you're concerned, feel free to call us to schedule a check-up. Continue your aftercare routine in the meantime.
17. Can I change the jewelry right away?
No. Jewelry should not be changed until the swelling has gone down and the piercing has healed sufficiently.
18. How do I get rid of piercing bumps?
Avoid bumping or snagging the area. Once swelling has gone down, downsizing the jewelry can help reduce irritation and prevent further trauma.
Other Concerns
19. Do you pierce kids or minors?
Yes. We pierce minors aged 12–17 with a parent or legal guardian present. The adult must provide valid ID, and guardians must also bring official documentation proving guardianship. Minors cannot receive nipple or genital piercings.
20. Can I get pierced while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend getting pierced while pregnant or breastfeeding. The immune system is more vulnerable during this time, increasing the risk of complications.
21. Do you offer jewelry downsizing or help with healed piercings?
Yes. We offer downsizing services for jewelry, along with troubleshooting appointments for healed piercings. Service fees may apply, and you’re welcome to call us to discuss your options.
22. What’s your policy on touch-ups, re-piercing, or removing piercings?
We recommend waiting 1–2 months before re-piercing. Jewelry removal or replacement is offered based on the piercer’s assessment. All services and jewelry sales are final and non-refundable.
